Things I Found That I Liked
Another weekend upon us. Several items:
- Here's a Flash explanation of how the 10th Dimension might work.
- Several Wikipedia articles lately... the latest (that I've seen, anyway) is this one from Atlantic Monthly.
- Ken Jennings interviews artist Mike Wilks, whose books I enjoy. Here's his website. I liked the details and puzzle in The Ultimate Alphabet, and I have a whole notebook full of lists for A-Z that I started over 10 years ago. One of these days, I'm going to finish it off.
- Today I came across a copy of The Wicked History of the World by Terry Deary and Martin Brown. It's awesome! Where have I been that I haven't seen this? It's an illustrated children's book that has all these people throughout history shown doing what they actually did... namely, torturing and murdering each other! I hadn't realized that the concept has a pedigree, too.
- Take a look at Chad Vader, day-shift grocery store manager. Priceless!
